In the Seventies Palestinian Leila Khaled came to public attention for her role in a 1969 hijacking and a one of four simulataneous hicjackings the following year as part of the Black September group. In 2005 a Swedish filmaker of Palestinian origins, Lina Makboul, meets her former teenage idol by making a documentary about a complex woman who has been considered a freedom-fighter from many as well as a terrorist from many others. Through archive footage, interviews and personal insight she tells the story of the Arab-Israel conflict through the life of the first  woman activist of the PLO, nowadays still claiming: “I am proud of what I have done. If I could go back I would do the same again” .

Movements against the occupation: “Sport under the siege”, a report from the occupied territories

A member of the delegation of “Sport Under the siege”, the carovan visiting Palestine from April 4 to April 10, makes a report on the jounrey  and the activities they did in the occupied territories. From 2005, every year the campaign Sport Under the Siege organizes a  carovan in the name of sports in the Occupied Territories. This initiative was born to underline the strong values of sports and to reaffirm the confidence in a future of peace and justice.

Art as a weapon: The first reality show made by palestinian children

Many are the people using their creativity and insight sas a weapon against isolation, oblivion and violence. In this episode The Real  Shabab gives voice to the first Web TV program entirely made by children in Palestine. From the refugee camp of Qalandia, ready to share pieces of their daily experiences with the world through the internet, kids film their lives taking us to their houses, showing us their games and sharing with us their thoughts. From an extraordinary point of view addressed  both to children and adults.

Guest of the show , Dario Franchetti from “Vento di terra onlus”. He goes into details about the way the idea of a web tv was developed, starting from the need to create a connection between Palestine and the Italian community of Sardegna, one of the main islands of the country.
