This episode is focused on Italy instead of Palestine. We report the news of the natural catastrophe which has been hitting central Italy since Monday April 6, an earthquake which continues to shake the Italian Region of Abruzzo, causing death, wounded and displaced people of all nationalities. At the present moment 292 are the corpses found under the debris, 20 of them being teenagers and children.1600 are the wounded and more than twenty-nine thousand the people displaced. Among the victims there are also two young Palestinians; one of them, Kader, escaped Gaza to leave the war behind. He was attending the University of L’Aquila and was living in the House of the Student , one of the first buildings that collapsed after the stong eartshake of April 6.

Photography, as an art media, can report the everyday life of people with a unique directness. This is even more evident when the reporters are young kids living under siege and yet expressing with brightness their feelings for the homeland, their friends and the occupation.
Guest of this show: Emiliano Scatarzi, photographer of the collective Photographers without Border; a non profit organization travelling to remote countries to create photographic workshops with children, women and teenagers living in difficult situations.

At the beginning of April a peculiar group of artist will be touring Palestin:the Living Theatre, the oldest american experimental theatre. Living a nomadic life in europe since 1960, the is committed to using the theatre as a medium for furthering social change and thwey are well-known in Eastern countries for their performances, which include new participatory techniques that enable the audience to first rehearse with the company and then join them on stage as fellow performers.
Visiting countries in conflict is part of their program and this year will follow the international caravan of “Sports under the siege” to interact with palestinian young people through the form of acting.
Guest of the show: Gary Beckett, one of the historical actors of this american experimental theatre group, who talks with us about the activities planned to be staged in Palestine, about his expectations and commitment to the partecipation to the international convoy “Sports under the siege”.
