In Atlanta USA the members of the Atlanta City Council proclaimed October 7th day of Colonel (Ret.) Ann Wright Day, former Colonel of the U.S. Army which she served for 26 years.The day before the Iraq invasion by US Army Colonel Wright spoke out and resigned her post in protest to government actions she felt were either illegal or a threat to the United States and the U.S. Constitution. Actions such as the preemptive war in Iraq without the United Nations Security Council agreement, the administration’s lack of efforts in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the  US government lack of action to peace -solving in the Middle East. Since then she has been a passionate activist, peace speaker and writer visiting countries and delegations all over the world.
We reached her to talk about her further actions, to know more about her peculiar story and her strong activism for peace.
